Allan Keith Reed , age 61 of Lanark, IL passed away on the morning of May 30th, 2018. Allan was born in Portmouth, VA on December 13th, 1956 to Geraldine Gray and Jack Reed.

Allan joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 and finished his high school education through the army while being stationed in Hawaii. Allan was a jack of all trades, he laid cable lines for an electric company, worked construction with Randy Kempel and Bob Asche, and worked on ATV's, lawnmowers, and anything that he was mechanically able to do in order to provide for his family. Allan's hobbies included collecting antique items, enjoying the outdoors, and providing all his services to help his family as well as spending time with his family.

Allan is survived by his two sons Benjamin and Matthew Reed; his sister Joyce King, a handful of Nieces and nephews, and his dearest friends Bruce and Barb Curtis, Joe Harris, and Daniel Bashaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Brenda Reed and his sister, Judy Ross.

There will be a visitation at the Hermann Funeral Home in Shannon on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. Condolences may be shared at www.hermannfuneralhome.com .
