Alvin T. Liles, age 55, passed away of natural causes on April 23, 2014, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Gladys Liles of Freeport, IL. Survivors include his wife and soul mate, Teri Liles; daughter, Nicole Avery (Jonathan Avery) of Batesville, MS; son, Jason Morton of Mesa, AZ; His dogs Brandi and Isis; His Uncle Ellsworth "Buck" Gentz and Uncle Charles "Chuck" Burrington of Freeport, IL; Father and Mother in law George and Delia Townsend; Brother in laws and sister in laws, Rob and Tammy Townsend, Tom and Barb Townsend, Chris Townsend and Patti Syring; Nephews Jeremy, Jesse, and Corey Townsend and DJ and Max Polzin; Niece Emily Syring; and lots of friends.
He requested no funeral. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, May 3rd at 3 P.M. at the Corner Tap in Stockton, IL. Food will be served for the celebration.
Alvin was born on June 18, 1958. He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, camping, canning, cooking, gardening and hanging out with friends. He was a wonderful husband, best friend and dad.
