Andris "Andy" Joseph Ruments' Obituary
Andris "Andy" Joseph Ruments, age 78 of Lake Carroll, IL passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society in Mount Carroll, IL. Andy was born on February 25, 1940 in Riga Latvia the son of Ernest Ruments and Alfeja (Dambrans) Ruments. Andy married Barbara Christiano on July 10, 1965 in Clarendon Hills, IL.
Andy was an active member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church of Shannon and previously Divine Savior Catholic Church of Downers Grove. He was a 1957 graduate of South Side High School in Milwaukee, WI. He attended Marquette University and later graduated from Graduate School of Banking at UW Madison, WI. Andy retired from Illinois Bankers Bank of Illinois. He was a member of the Lanark Lions Club and enjoyed reading, boating, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ruments of Lake Carroll, IL; his sons, Stephen (Heather) of Virginia and Brian (Carey Ann) of Bolingbrook, IL; his daughter, Laura Ruments of Woodridge, IL; his son-in-law, Marty Loughlin of Colorado; and his seven grandchildren, Connor Loughlin, Kyle Loughlin, Riley Ruments, Kaitlyn Ruments, Brennan Ruments, Jordan Olson and Evan Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Debbie Loughlin.
The funeral service will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Shannon. There will be a visitation on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Shannon, 37 East Market Street, Shannon IL 61078 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL at 2:30 p.m for a chapel service. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Pro-Life Action League, 6160 N Cicero Ave Chicago IL 60646 or FHN Hospice 773 W Lincoln Blvd, Freeport, IL 61032.
