Andrew "Andy" Burke, age 39 of Stockton, IL, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at home. He was born May 21, 1975 in Freeport, IL; the son of Suzanne Burke and Leroy Burke. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1993. Andy married LaVonne Upmann on June 5, 1993.

In 2013, he received his CDL and worked for Schneider Trucking. Prior to that, he had worked with Rent-a-Center in Freeport. Andy loved to travel, which is why the last year of his life brought him so much joy. As a truck driver, he was able to see much of the country, including the Statue of Liberty. He enjoyed music from the 60's and 70's, classic Hollywood movies, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, gardening, and animals.

Andy is survived by his wife, LaVonne of Stockton; son, David (Laura) Burke of Dubuque, IA; sister-in-law, Laura Gallagher of Madison, WI and her children, Logan & Tristan; mother, Suzanne Burke of Warren, IL; Father, Leroy (Lori) Burke of Stockton, IL; sister, Angella Burke of Freeport and her son, Da'Vaughn Harris; brother, Adam Burke of Warren, IL and his daughter, Sofie Burke; and grandmother, Shirley Spahn of Hanover, IL. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Spahn.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 2:00 PM. A memorial fund has been established.
