PEARL CITY, IL Anna Margaret Brown died May 13, 2011 at Pleasantview Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was born August 23, 1924 in Chadwick, IL the daughter of the late Orion & Mae (Hartman) Alexander. She graduated from Chadwick High School in 1942 and attended Northern Illinois Teachers College in Dekalb. She married Earnest L. Brown on May 28, 1944 in Sterling, IL, he died October 17, 2001. Together they had farmed and she had taught at Jefferson Country School near Fairhaven and had been a teacher's aid for 3 years at the Pearl City School. She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Kent, IL. She enjoyed reading, cards and swimming at the pool. She is survived by her 2-Sons; Ronald (Sherri) Brown and Tom (Colleen) Amans- Brown of Kent, 3-Grandchildren; Monica (Dennis) Sandell, Michael Brown & Lori Brown, 2-Great Grandchildren; Codi & Hannah Sandell, 3-Step Grandchildren; Jason & Matt Fischer and Tim (Vicki) Arrington, 2-Step Great Grandchildren; Brianna Fischer and Spencer Arrington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Crystal Thommen. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Pearl City with Rev. Carole Andres officiating, where visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. A memorial fund has been established St. Paul Lutheran Church.
