Anna M. Kaufman 107 died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Freeport Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 20, 1905 in Stockton, IL the daughter of the late David & Mary (Kiefer) Clark. She married Elwood Kaufman on April 18, 1936 in Decatur, IL, he died December 6, 1972. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley & Berreman Church of God where she had taught Sunday School for many years. She had been a nurse at the Globe Hospital where she had received her nursing degree. She had farmed with her husband and loved the farm life. She enjoyed needle point, sewing, making cookies, gardening and walks in the woods. She is survived by her 3-grandchildren; Diane (Kent) Willett of Irrigon, OR, Steve Kaufman of Racine, WI, Sheri Barr of Freeport, IL. and great grandson Jason Kaufman of Salem, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David, brother Leslie & sister Dorothy Watson. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Morseville Cemetery in Stockton. Memorial fund has been established for the Berreman & Pleasant Valley Church.
