Barbara Beeth , age 89, of Stockton, IL passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Luther Manor in Dubuque, IA. She was born in Champaign, IL on January 30, 1933 to the late Dr. Edward A. and Lucile M. (Harris) Tappan. Barbara married Wayne Beeth on May 24, 1953 in Paxton, IL. Wayne passed away on May 5, 2012.

Barbara was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Stockton and the Stockton Women's Club. She volunteered at the Food Pantry, was an election judge and a Sub for the Stockton School District. She was a 1951 graduate of Paxton High School. Barbara was a Girl Scout Leader for 25 years. She enjoyed cards, flowers, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Debby Mackey; her son, Mike (Theresa Duren) Beeth; her grandchildren, Charity, Quentin and Eva; and her great grandchildren, Dane, Heather and R.J. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Robert; her granddaughter, Kimberly Mackey; and her two sisters, Lilian and Margaret.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
