Benjamin C. Albrecht Jr., 90, born the son of Benjamin and Margaret (Randecker) Albrecht was born February 19, 1930 on the family farm. He married Donna Endress on July 31, 1955 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Massbach. He passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Massbach, serving on the church council for many years. He also served on Pleasant Valley Township Board and the Multi Township Board. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 and was a member of Lena American Legion. He farmed on the family farm until 1993 when he retired and moved to Lena where he took up the hobby of restoring and refinishing antique furniture and growing roses and begonias.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Donna of 65 years. His daughters, Lori (Tim) Holden of Freeport, IL and Patti (David) Willis of Albany, WI; his son, Carl (Rene) Albrecht of Elizabeth, IL; his 13 grandchildren, Brandon (Christina) Smith, Josh (Tara Wydra) Holden, Cirrissa (Alex Fosmoen) Sturdevant, Adam (Allison) Albrecht, Tara (Andrew Gockenbach) Montoya, David (Ashley) Albrecht, Lindsey (Erik) Koning, Bethany (Adam) Dickman, Sam (Jacquelynn) Albrecht, Marc (Emily Dodge) Johnson, Laura (Daniel) Spillane, Jessie Albrecht, and Lucas Albrecht; and blessed with 17 great grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Endress of Ashbury, IA;

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Margaret Albrecht; his brother, Henry Albrecht; and his sisters, Lillian Groezinger and Vera Haas.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Massbach at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Massbach. A memorial fund has been established.
