Bernice L. Bucher, age 93 of Stockton passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at home. She was born August 21, 1924 in Willow, the daughter of the late Leon & Esther (Noll) Wise. She married Earl Bucher on June 2, 1946 in Willow. He died June 2, 2008

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton. Bernice had been a caregiver at Morgan Memorial Home and for many friends and family. She also babysat children. Bernice enjoyed reading, crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles and making clothes.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Heid of Stockton; her grandchildren, Anna (Jim), Abigail (Doug), Andrew, Bill, and Kim; great grandchildren, Skylar, Chayse, Kai, Alexis, Shayna, Natalie, and Cora Kay; and her two sisters, Ilene (Donald) Rees and JoAnn Magee. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl, sisters, Eula Hayden and Carol Buck; and son-in-law, Galen Heid.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton at 11:00 am. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established for the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Walter Lawson Children's Home.
