Betty Arlene Rausch , age 91, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018. She was born on October 9, 1926 in New Diggings, WI, the daughter of Emerson "Mike" and Mary Houy. The family lived in Galena and she attended Galena schools, graduating in 1944. She married Karl H. Rausch on June 10, 1947. They were married for 56 years.

They had four children, Jake (Cathie) of Stockton, Marianna "Tudy" Anderson of Rockford, Bill (Jeanne) of Savanna and Allen (Stephanie) of Enger, Germany; five grandchildren, Mistie (Omar) Jefferson, Munson "T.J." (Bonnie) Anderson, Katherine Rausch, Victoria (David) Fletcher and Gina Bruel of Germany; four great grandchildren, Hector, Isabella Anderson, Zack Hanson and Madilyn Fletcher

They moved from Galena in 1953 after being transferred by Kraft to Toulon, IL and then to Stockton in 1964. She was a leader of Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Betty attended Highland College and became a Real Estate Broker. She opened her own office, Rausch Reality, for 37 years. It is still run by her partner, Melody Heidenreich. Betty was on the Galena State Bank Board and was a founding member and served on the Stockton Golf and Stockton Heritage Museum Boards. She volunteered for the Red Cross and Jo Daviess Health Dept. She enjoyed golfing, cards, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Russel and her sister, Leona Magee. She is survived by her four children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
