Robert Vernon Cole , age 77, of Stockton, IL passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at FHN Hospital in Freeport. He was born on August 5, 1947 to the late Joseph and Betty (White) Cole. Bob married Pamela Ladd on August 16, 1997. Pam passed away December 27, 2020.

Bob was a 1965 graduate of Stockton High School. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He had worked as a contractor for Paragon Pools. He also worked at Dura Automotive where he served as Union President. He had a passion for guns and loved target shooting.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Mindy Burke of Stockton and Gabbi Cole of Stockton; his grandchildren, Tyler Burke, Sydney Burke, Lyanna Siergeij and Teddy Schmoll; his nieces, Tina Ertmer, Suzanne Cole and LeeAnn Hurst; and his nephew, Robby Hurst. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister, Barbara; and his brothers, William and John.

A celebration of life for both Bob and Pam will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
