Brad Allen Sullivan was born to Mary Sullivan on June 17, 1982 in Naha, Okinawa, Japan.  During Brad's childhood, he and his mother, Mary, lived in Fremont, California; Stockton, Illinois; and Indianapolis, Indiana.  As an adult, Brad made his home in South Carolina, most recently in the city of Greenville.

Brad had a special connection to each of these places, as his love of music and sports were shaped in California; his large, extended Irish family were from Stockton, Illinois; and Indianapolis had a special place in his heart because of his beloved friends, the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, and most importantly, because that is the home of his oldest daughter, Jade Calhoun, age 14.

South Carolina was special to Brad because that is where he met and married his former wife, Melanie Talley and where they raised their two children, Amaya Sullivan, 5; and Declan Sullivan, 3.  Brad was preceded in death by his Grandpa Phillip Sullivan, his beloved Grandma Leonila Sullivan, and his loving aunt Colleen Sullivan McNett.

In addition to his three beautiful children, Brad is survived by his best friend and mother, Mary Sullivan Stanton; his former step-father, Michael Stanton; a large extended family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and two half-brothers, Jeremy and Brian Shober .  Brad is also survived and will be missed by many friends in Illinois and South Carolina and especially his childhood friends from, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Brad spent many years pursuing an education, and studied computer science, nursing, and most recently Criminal Justice at Trident Technical College.  Brad enjoyed technology and programming, listening to music, cooking, spending time with his friends, and watching football—especially his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Indianapolis Colts.  Brad was very proud of his Irish heritage and spent some time abroad living and working in Ireland.  Most of all, Brad loved and was incredibly proud of each of his three children, and his greatest joy was being a father.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20th at 1:00 at Apple Canyon State Park, Apple River, Illinois.  A celebration of life will follow at the Corner Tap in Stockton.
