Branden "Sean" Janssen age, 57 of Pearl City Illinois, passed away Friday March 13th 2026 at his home. He was born in Springfield, Illinois on August 14th 1968 to Robert and Linda Janssen.
Sean graduated from Pearl City high school in 1986. Sean worked on farms, working with cattle and livestock before joining the construction union building homes and later on worked at Sullivan foods showing his genuine personality.
As a young man, Sean had a passion for sports, a passion he would share with many others throughout his life. He was a lifelong fan of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Wisconsin Badgers and could be found excitedly, cheering them on every football season.
Sean had an astounding love for the outdoors. His love for hunting and fishing was unrivaled. A love he shared with his family and friends. His perfect day would be spent on the water fishing with his father, in the woods hunting with his boys, being with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Sean carried a presence of joy and laughter everywhere he went, his smile and his love will always be remembered and forever missed.
Sean is survived by his mother Linda Janssen, his sons, Joseph Janssen, Caleb (Chloe) Janssen and Nicholas Janssen, grandchildren Carmen Strohecker and Adaline Janssen, sister Joanne (Kurt) Snyder, brothers Brian (Jill) Janssen and *Kurt Snyder, nephews, Jesse (Holly) Snyder, Jacob (Caitlynn) Snyder, Blake (Julianna) Janssen, Reid Janssen, David (Sarah) Farnsworth. Nieces, Kendra (Tyler) Morgan, Harlee (Kevin) Robinson and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Janssen.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Zion Community Church in Pearl City at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial has been established.
