Cheryl A. Janssen 62 of Shannon died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Kindred Hospital in Sycamore Il. She was born December 9, 1948 in Jersey Shore, PA the daughter of the late Charles & LaVonne (Ingram) Kelchner. She was a 1967 graduate of Freeport High School. Cheryl and Norman Janssen were married on March 21, 1970 in Freeport. She was a member of Zion Community Church in Pearl City and had worked at Parkview Home in Freeport. Cheryl loved being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Norman, daughter Rebekka Janssen of Shannon, 4-sons; Scott (Julie) Janssen of Shannon, David Janssen of Pearl City, Tim Janssen of Freeport and Michael (Christina) Janssen of Shannon, 7-grandchildren; Meredith, Ashley, Trevor, Drake, Emily, Elizabeth & Brooklyn, sister; Rebecca (Stephen) Wright of Hastings, MICH. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Sarah. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Zion Community Church in Pearl City with Rev. Ellis Boughton and Rev. Ed Curry. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zion Community Church 10100 W. Sabin Church Rd Pearl City.
