ConniAnn (Meier) Keckler, age 50, of Lanark, IL died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at home. She was born July 17, 1962 the daughter of Paul and Norma (Bingner) Meier. ConniAnn was a 1980 graduate of Shannon High School and later graduated from Highland Community College in 2005. She married Donald Keckler on October 22, 1983 in Shannon.
ConniAnn was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Shannon where she had been the church secretary and bible school coordinator. She had been treasurer of the Leap of Faith Music Ministries. She had worked at Child and Family Connections, was secretary for the office technology lab at Highland Community College, and also worked for Western States Insurance Company. She enjoyed church, family and friends, her two cats Patches and Mandy, and volunteering at the Pitter Patter Pantry in Mt. Carroll.
She is survived by her husband Donald of Lanark; two daughters, Nicole (James) Merboth of Forreston and Michele (Jonathan) Mellette of Yukon, OK; her parents Paul and Norma Meier of Shannon; and her sister Carmen (Alan) Schadewaldt of Rock City, IL.
She is preceded in death by her son Daniel Ryan, daughter, and mother-in-law and father-in-law James and Ila Dornbush.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon, where the funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM, the Rev. Stephen Aram presiding. Internment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Bethel United Methodist Church.
