Craig E. Groen,
age 61 of Shannon, IL, passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on June 19, 2016. He was born September 8, 1954 to Elmer and Dorothy (Mohlenkamp) Groen.
He spent many years in the agriculture field as a farmer and machinery salesman. He was an avid sports fan, and also enjoyed traveling and good times with friends. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon.
He is survived by his parents, Elmer and Dorothy Groen; son, Shawn (Dee) Groen, daughter, Shelby (Curt) Johnson; brother, Rick (Betty) Groen; sister, Dawn (John) Collman; and grandchildren, Gage, Madelyn, Alaina and Trevor.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Hermann Funeral Home in Shannon. The funeral service will be Friday, June 24th at 1:00 pm at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon. Interment will take place at the Brethren Cemetery in Shannon. A memorial fund has been established.
