Dale R. Stadel , age 90, of Lena, IL passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Monroe.   He was born in Woodbine Township, IL on July 4, 1927 to the late Charles F. and Elizabeth A. (Brashaw) Stadel.  Dale married Geneva Imel on September 14, 1957 in Lanark, IL.

He was a 1945 graduate of Stockton High School and farmed six miles west of Stockton until retiring to Lena.  Dale was a hard working farmer for most of his life.  He served in the Army, played saxophone in the Stockton Town Band, was a long-time member of the Plum River Masonic Lodge and the Farm Bureau.  He and Geneva also enjoyed the Good Sam Camping Club.  He was passionate about farming, liked traveling, and was fascinated with airplanes.
