Darlene M. Tipton , age 79 of Stockton, IL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 23, 2017. She was born November 18, 1937; the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Trebian) O'Neill. She attended Stockton High School. Darlene married Earl Tipton on June 26, 1954.

She had worked at Crum & Foster in Freeport and cooked and tended bar at Berg's Tavern in Stockton. Darlene was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was also a member of WAN-TAN-YE. She enjoyed bowling, boating, dancing, and cooking. She also enjoyed NASCAR and the Indy 500.  She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Earl Tipton of Stockton; sons, Jamie (Nan) of Rosendale, WI and Joey (Janet) of Galena, IL; daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Stewart of Stockton and Karla (David) White of Lena, IL; 13 grandchildren; Joshua, Cassie, Jesse & Caitlyn Tipton; Annessa Tipton & Amanda Vargas; Alex, Andrew & Aspyn Stewart; and Christian, Noah, Kanzas & Kyah White; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Timothy; 6 sisters; and 2 brothers.
