Diane M. Chambers , age 73 of Pearl City, IL passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. She was born on June 24, 1948 in Freeport to the late Donald and Maebelle (Eells) DeVries. Diane married Dean Chambers on April 29, 1966 in Spring Valley, IL.

Diane was a 1966 graduate of Pearl City High School. She had worked at Boco in Pearl City, Casey's in Shannon, and for the Pearl City School District. She enjoyed showing horses and sewing. Diane loved her family and never missed her grandchildren's extra-curricular activities.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Chambers of Pearl City; her daughters, Dawn (Steven) Elliott of Freeport, Darcy (Bill) Schierloh of Lena, and Dana (Mike) Pettinger of Yukon, NE; her grandchildren, Charles Elliott, Samantha Elliott, Ryan Schierloh, Lillian Schierloh, Madalyn Schierloh, Tyler Lewis, Kayleen Pettinger and Reyana Pettinger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jo Ann Wilkin, and her infant daughter, Deanne Michelle.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Hermann Funeral Home in Pearl City at 10:30 a.m. There will be a visitation on Monday, July 12, 2021 also at the Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established.
