Donald Lee Schrader , age 77, of Shannon, IL passed away Friday, July 05, 2024 at home. He was born November 26, 1946 in Freeport, IL to the late George and Margaret (Janssen) Schrader. Don married Shirley Gaul on September 17, 1976.

Don worked for Honeywell for 35 years and drove truck for over 50 years. He enjoyed working on the Wilhelm Farm for the last 11 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed golfing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Schrader of Shannon; his daughters, Eryn (Michael) Rubino of West Jordan, UT and Michelle "Shely" (Joe) Zubler of German Valley; his sons, Eric Schrader of Shannon, Thad (Kat) Schrader of Bloomington and Michael (Tami) Fox of Forreston; his sisters, Arlene Koeller of Lanark and Elaine Hull of Denver, CO; his brothers, Larry (Bert) Schrader of Surprise, AZ and Lonnie (Wendy) Schrader of Freeport; his 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Carol and Lorraine; and his brothers, Garry and Leslie.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Hermann Funeral Home in Shannon at 10:30 a.m. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established for Ronald McDonald House of Madison and the Shannon Fire and Ambulance Services.
