Earl J. "Tip" Tipton , age 89, of Stockton, IL passed away Thursday, April 09, 2020 at home. He was born August 9, 1930 the son of the late Arthur N. and Louisa M. (Streicher) Tipton. Tip married Darlene O'Neill on June 26, 1954. Darlene passed away June 23, 2017.

Tip grew up on a farm and drove truck most of his life, mainly for LCL and Jewel Rentar. He was a member of the Stockton American Legion and Teamsters. Tip enjoyed Nascar, boating, snowmobiling, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and vacationing in his free time. He was also an animal lover.

Tip is survived by his sons, Jamie (Nan) of Rosendale, WI and Joey (Janet) of Galena, IL; daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Stewart of Stockton and Karla (special friend Chris) White of Stockton, IL; 13 grandchildren; Joshua, Cassie, Jesse & Caitlyn Tipton; Annessa Tipton & Amanda Vargas; Alex, Andrew & Aspyn Stewart; and Christian, Noah, Kanzas & Kyah White; and 8 great grandchildren; and his sister, Clara Endress. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; infant son, Timothy; sister, Florence Wickler; and brothers, Harry, Carson and infant Clyde.

A private family graveside will be held. A memorial fund has been established.
