Elaine L. Bicker , age 105, of Lanark, IL passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at FHN Hospital in Freeport. She was born in Loran, IL on March 7, 1921 to the late Arthur and Lydia (Beyer) Brinkmeier. Elaine married Glenn Bicker on March 22, 1939 in Dubuque, IA. Glenn passed away January 16, 2010.

Elaine attended Clay Country School and was a member of Salem Church of Loran. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, canning, flowers, baking and quilting. She also enjoyed puzzles and camping. Elaine and Glenn would spend their winters in Florida and Texas.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda) Bicker and Allen (Barb) Bicker; her daughters, Darlene (Gilbert) Hershey, Sharon (Ron) Johnson, Rhonda (Jeff) Snyder and Judy Breed; her 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and her sisters, Betty Kohn, Arlene Camerer and LaVonne Liphart. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Verlin, Mervin, Dennis, Gerald and Keith; her sisters, Evelyn, Merna and Doris; and three infant siblings.

The family would like to thank Elaine's caregivers, Joanne, Christi and Holly.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Salem Church of Loran at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Lanark Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
