Emily Stella Misenar , 73, of Stockton, IL passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. She was born in Chicago, IL on March 2, 1949 to the late Walter and Constance (Stavropolous) Voyles. Emily married George Misenar on October 5, 1968 in Chicago. George passed away April 20, 2022.

Emily was a member of St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago. She enjoyed collecting nic nacs, sewing and crocheting. Most of all, Emily loved spending time with her family and being babysat by her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Ericia Misenar of Clinton, IA, Jennifer Upman of Stockton, IL and Connie (Chad) Larson of Bartow, FL; her brother, Pierre (Karen) Voyles; her 12 grandchildren, Crystal, Victoria and Amos Misenar, Stephanie Misenar, Joseph and William Upman, Kristen Roberts, Andrew Marston, Brittany, Chad Jr., Brooke and DeeDee Larson; and her 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother and step father, Harry Thiakos, one son-in-law, and her brother, John.

No services will be held. A memorial fund has been established.
