Gerald "Jerry" Werkheiser,
age 54 of Fulton, IL, died at home Tuesday, June 16, 2015. He was born May 9, 1961; the son of James and Mary (Sauer) Werkheiser. He was at 1979 graduate of Stockton High School.
Jerry loved fishing, especially trips to Canada when he was younger. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening and spending time with his son. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Jerry worked for Ag. Tech and Fulton Fertilizer for over 30 years, where he was devoted to providing the best for his customers.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Demerley; parents, Jim & Mary Werkheiser of Lena, IL; son, David; daughters, Sara and Sandra; step children, Meghan & Riley Stephens; brother, Robert (Gail) Werkheiser of Lena; and sister, Jean (Jeff) Zieber of AR. He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol and niece, Mellissa Shumaker.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A time of remembrance will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, IL where friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established.
