Glenn L. Rowe , age 73 of Stockton, IL passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1945 in Freeport to the late Charles H. "Red" and Doris M. (Stiefel) Rowe. Glenn married Carol Bannister Butler on December 16, 1988 in Stockton.

He was a 1963 graduate of Stockton High School. Early in his life he worked on farms, did roofing in Louisiana, and later did factory work in NW IL. He last worked for Stockton Township, Dura Automotive (Atwoods/Excel), the Warren Cheese Plant, Primera Foods, and Kolb Lena Cheese. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to glean asparagus and watercress to share with others. He also enjoyed bringing home bushels of orchard fresh apples from Richland Center in WI to distribute. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Stockton and a 30+ year member of a local 12 step program.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Carol of Stockton; his step children, Trevor (Alicia) Butler of Aurora, IL, and Jodie (Eric) Seibert of Kasbeer, IL; and his grandchildren, Jenna and Clare Seibert. Other survivors include a brother, Ronald Rowe of Stockton; his sisters, Darlene Shumaker of Hanover, Carol Strohecker of Pearl City, and Diane (Daniel) Kunz of Stockton; and his sister-in-law, Lynn Rowe of Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Rowe; great nephew, Tyler Binns; brother-in-law, Jerome Shumaker; and sister-in-law, Nancy Rowe.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stockton with a visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Ladies Union Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
