STOCKTON, IL Hazel C. Pierce 85 beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother of Stockton passed away April 28, 2011 at the Lena Living Center. She was born July 25, 1925 in Lead Mine, WI the daughter of the late Roy & Edna (Farrey) Downs. Hazel and Leland 'BudPierce were married on October 10, 1945 in Stockton. Together they had farmed n rural Stockton where she enjoyed mowing and gardening. She had bowled on the Motorette's bowling team for 50 years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and dancing. She is survived by her husband, 3-Daughters; Cathy (Tom Brobst) Brandenburg of Freeport, Sharen (Mack) Mellicker of Barrington, IL, Connie Finn of Abilene TX, Daughter In-Law Becky Pierce of Elizabeth, Son Gary Pierce of Stockton, 7-Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, 6-Sisiters; Velma Bitz, Alice Brown, Joyce Zeal, Donna Feltmeyer & June Dawson of Warren and Judy Baber of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Danny, brother Kenneth 'SonnyDowns, 2-sisters; Phyllis Schiess & Ruby Phillips. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton where visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. Rev.
