Jack C. Sinise, age 90 of Pearl City, formerly of Blue Island, IL, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL. He was born November 27, 1923 in Blue Island, IL; the son of the late Daniel and Vesta "Betty" (Lambertson) Sinise. He was a graduate of Blue Island Community High School and of Northwestern University in Chicago. Jack married Lorraine Rowland on May 7, 1954, she died March 23, 2006.
He had served in the United States Air Corps and was a B17 Navigator during WWII. Jack served as Vice President at the Blue Island First National Bank for many years. He was also an avid golfer.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberley (Ronald) Planz of Pearl City, IL and Beverly Fundersol of MI; sons, Robert (Lorretta) Sinise and John Sinise; grandchildren, Ron Planz, Dan Planz, Eric (Erica Heflin) Fundersol, Joel Fundersol, and Jared (Mary) Fundersol; great grandchildren, Lilly & Lucas Planz, Sebastian, Gordon, & Livian Heflin, and Audrey & Jackson Fundersol; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine; brother, Jerry; sister-in-law, Dorothy; and niece, Jeri Lynn Shilling.
Jack's final wishes were to make a donation to the Illinois Anatomical Gift Association. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Blue Island, IL. A memorial fund has been established for the Gary Sinise Foundation.
