Jacob A. Randecker, age 67 of Stockton, IL, passed away at home Sunday, July 28, 2013. He was born June 26, 1946, the son of John and Stella (Carlson) Randecker. Jacob served in the United States Army. He married Rita Yeager on December 13, 1975. He worked at Dura Automotive for 36 years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the Stockton American Legion, and the Dura 20 year Club. Jacob enjoyed outdoor work, especially gardening and tending to his roses. He also enjoyed grilling, boating, and spending time with friends and family. Jacob is survived by his wife, Rita; sister, Barbara Randecker (Larry Olthoff) of Stockton; God Daughter, Melissa Adams; and his puppy and best friend, Handsome. He is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leona & Richard Ibsen; and sister-in-law, Pearl Mathesin. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. The funeral service will be Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church. Internment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established for the Stockton Veterans Memorial.
