Jacqueline Ann Brown, age 92, of Shannon, IL passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Allure of Mt. Carroll. She was born in Moline, IL on August 16, 1933 to the late Herbert and Etheleen (Paxton) Weber. She married Duane "George" Brown on September 28, 1949. George passed away February 28, 2013.

Jackie was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She worked as a waitress in many places, including the Shannon Café. She also owned and operated O Sew Cute with her husband. She was well known for her cookie baking and selling her vegetables they grew in their very large garden. George and Jackie loved traveling and hiking in the Rockies. She loved living at Allure and spending time with the staff and residents (Jackson was her favorite but don't tell the others that). In her later years, she enjoyed reading, puzzles, and playing dominos.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Doug) Blair; her son, Lewis Brown; her grandchildren, Louanne (Sam) Preston, Josef Blair and Cali (Matt) Smith; her 9 great grandchildren; her 11 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Bill Moll and her dear roommate, Margaret Althoff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandson, Deacon; her sisters, Joyce and Mary Jo; and her brother, Bill.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL. Memorials can be made out to The Steven Moll Foundation in honor of the future education of Eastland students.
