Jacquelyn Kay Townsend, age 82, of Stockton, IL passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 at Allure of Stockton. She was born in Bremerton, WA on June 18, 1944 to the late Gilbert and Helen (Gerlach) Lindsey. Jacki married Maurice “Morrie” Townsend on July 26, 1969 at the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Stockton. Morrie passed on September 4, 2018.

Jacki was a graduate of San Diego High School. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had worked at Burgess Battery, Northwestern Illinois Farmer and Furst Staffing. Jacki enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, baking, cooking, traveling, and spoiling her dogs.

She is survived by her nieces, Nancy Reed-Anderson and Karen Arauz-Reed; her nephew, Jim Reed; her sister-in-law, Helen Reed; her great nieces and nephews; and her great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Luncheon will follow at Wesley United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established.
