James "Jim" Joseph Jones , age 85, of Lake Carroll, IL passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at FHN Hospital in Freeport. He was born in Cresco, IA on March 31, 1940 to the late John and Loretta (Tierney) Jones. Jim married Beverly White on June 13, 1964 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI.

Jim was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cresco, IA. He went on to receive his Bachelors Degree from Loras College in Dubuque, IA. Jim was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Shannon, IL. He worked as a Regional Sales Manager for OEI in Chicago. Jim enjoyed golfing, especially with his friends at Lake Carroll and golfed on the Lake Carroll Golf League. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching his children and grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jones of Lake Carroll; his daughters, Jackie (Keith) Grabarek of Lake Carroll and Joanne Jones of Chicago; his sons, Jeff (Gina) Jones of Nashville, TN and Jason Jones of Chicago; and his grandchildren, Jake Grabarek, Ben Grabarek, Henry Jones, Kelsey Jones and Parker Jones. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his 6 siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 18 S. Linn St. Shannon, IL, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Lanark Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Lake Carroll Clubhouse, 29-11 Ironwood Dr. Lanark, IL. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude's charity.
