Janice S. Baysinger, age 62 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She was born December 28, 1951 in Freeport, IL; the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Erdmier) Alvey. She married Vernon Baysinger on October 14, 1988 in Freeport, IL; he died January 8, 2006.

Janice enjoyed listening to rock 'n roll music, playing cards and watching T.V.; soaps and cop shows were her favorite. She also loved animals and cars.

She is survived by two sisters, Jackie (Roy) Warfield of Freeport and Sally (Geoff) Schaar of Port Charlotte, FL; and three brothers, Michael (Darlene) Alvey of Shannon, IL, Jim Alvey of Peoria, IL, and John (Beverly) Alvey of Rockford, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; sisters, Peggy, Joan, and Wendy; and brother, David.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon, IL. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established.
