John C. Cole
, age 57 of Stockton, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. He was born April 20, 1957; the son of the late Joseph and Betty (White) Cole.
John was a 1975 graduate of Stockton High School. He married Terry Haun on September 15, 1978. He had worked as a brick layer and a plumber. John enjoyed fishing and playing horse shoes. He also loved listening to "oldies."
He is survived by two daughters, Tina (Rob) Ertmer of Stockton and Suzie (Tim) Dolan of Freeport; grandchildren: Gabe, Madee & Bella Ertmer and Leah Campbell; brother, Bob (Pam) Cole of Stockton; nephew, Robby Hurst; nieces, Lee Ann (Matt) Halla, Bekkah Schleiger, Gabby Cole, Becky (Brad) Detwiler, Sarah Hoppe, and Carrie (Brian) Winters; and several other nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Terry; brother, Bill; and sister, Barb.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton where a service will be held at 5:00pm. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
