Joshua C. Yaeger, Stockton, IL Josh Yaeger, age 20, of Stockton, IL died Friday June 24, 2011. Josh was born January 29, 1991, the son of William Yaeger and Shelly Lamm. He was a 2009 graduate of Stockton High School. During high school Josh loved and excelled at sports. He was awarded Most Valuable Offensive and Defensive Player of the 2009 basketball team and was also made team captain. He was also All Conference 1st Team in both basketball and football. His football awards include: Most Valuable Offensive Lineman and Most Valuable Defensive Player. After high school Josh attended Illinois State University. Josh enjoyed fishing, working out, and spending time with his friends and family. Josh has many friends and will be dearly missed. Josh is survived by his parents Shelly (Mark) Lamm of Stockton and William (Melissa) Yaeger of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters Kristian Thoman (Randy Kloepping) of Stockton, and Andrea Yaeger of Stockton; brother Colton Yaeger; nephew Makai Thoman; grandparents Linda Cunningham of Stockton, and Kathryn (Singleton) Shoemaker of Butler, AL; step-grandparents Joe and Ilene Lamm of Stockton; and many aunts and uncles. Josh is preceded in death by his grandfathers Carrol Mabrey and Jacob Yaeger. A visitation will be held Monday June 27, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. The funeral service will be Tuesday June 28, 2011 beginning at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home Rev. Lee Luebke officiating. Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Massbach. A memorial fund has been established for the Joshua Yaeger Memorial Scolarship. The scholarship will be annually awarded to a Stockton High School graduate.
