Karl A. McPeek, age 60 of Stockton, IL, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at UW Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born February 26, 1953, the son of the late Kenneth and Manie Ellen (Spencer) McPeek. He was a 1971 graduate of Stockton High School. Karl married Rhonda Blackmore on September 10, 1977 in Pearl City, IL. He and his family farmed all of his life with John Deere equipment. Karl loved his fancy pigeons and enjoyed fast pitch softball. He was known for collecting "stuff" and building "things." Karl is survived by his wife, Rhonda; two daughters, Kopper McPeek of Stockton and Kaydra (Brandon) Heller of Warren , IL; and five sons, Karl II of Dakota, IL, Kenny (Kirsten) of Cortland, IL, Kraig (Becky) of Joy, IL, Klay of Las Vegas, NV, and Karver (Marcia) of Lanark, IL; 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Ellen (Roger) Glison of San Antonio, TX and Judy (Rick) Rowe of San Clemente, CA; four brothers, Todd (Tina) McPeek of Green Bay, WI, Perry (Roberta) McPeek of Winslow, IL, Mark (Amy) McPeek of Stockton, and Ryan (Lana) McPeek of Pearl City, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two nieces, Jackie and Jessica; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, James & Ellen Blackmore. A visitation will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. The funeral service will be Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton. Interment will take place at the McPeek Family Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
