Kay M. Meier
, age 77 of Stockton, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 after battling Parkinson's Disease at the Lena Living Center, where she had been a resident for the last five years. She was born April 21, 1939 in Moline, IL to the late Frank and Mary (Evans) Hellebuyck. She was a graduate of Moline High School.
Kay married Truman A. Meier on June 6, 1959; he died September 20, 2011. She had spent some time working at the Lena Living Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Jay) Bauer of Stockton; grandsons, Drew Bauer of Pardeeville, WI, Dillon Bauer of Ames, IA, and Austin Bauer of Ames, IA; and sister, Jane (Larry) Tschappat of Rock Island, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Truman; and infant son, Thomas.
A private graveside service will be held at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
