Obituary

Keith Wachter, 72, of Hayden, Idaho (formerly of Jasper, GA and Stockton, IL) passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side on Nov. 30, 2014. He was born December 21, 1941; the son of the late Glen and Josephine (Dittmar) Wachter. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Kathleen Wachter.

Keith served in the military at Fort Knox, then he worked on his family farm in Stockton for many years. After that, he was a truck driver with his wife until he retired.

Keith was well known and loved by many as a man with a big heart. His love, generosity and serving spirit will be remembered by many. The twinkle in his eyes and mischievousness in his smile will be missed and remembered by us all. He was an example to us all in that he was always ready and willing to roll up his sleeves and help anyone in need.

Along with his wife, Keith is survived by his son, Larry Owens of Jasper, GA; daughter, Janet Holden of Hayden, Idaho; his grandchildren, Amber, Jocelyn, Tori, Abbigael, Laura and Natalia; brothers, Gerald (Shirley) Wachter, Russell (Judith) Wachter, and Roger (Bonnie) Wachter; and sisters, Annette (Jerry) Janssen, Glenda Morey, Alta (Arnie) Schramm, Joyce Neinhuis and Bev (Boyd) Coleman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carson; niece, Sally; nephew, Alan; and brothers-in-law, Marvel Morey and Bob Neinhuis.

Keith loved and served his Lord and Savior and is relieved to be resting in His arms.

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 7th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, IL. The funeral service will be Monday, December 8th at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Morrisville Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
