Obituary

Kenneth R. "Spot" Schleuning 74 died peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family in rural Pearl City. He was born February 16, 1941 in Rodden, IL the son of the late Harold & Mary Schleuning.

Ken had worked for 30 years at Kelly Springfield in Freeport and also farmed in rural Pearl City for 37 years. Ken loved collecting baseball & football cards and license plates, he also loved hunting and being with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Carol, two daughters; Julie still at home and Penny (Ronald) Grenoble of Nora, son Kelly Schleuning of Savanna, a one special granddaughter Nikita Grenoble of Nora, Two brothers; Stan (Donna) Schleuning of Elizabeth & Bill (Cindy) Schleuning of Hanover, three sisters; Dorothy Schleuning of Hanover & Florence (Jim) Russell of Savanna and a sisters in-law Donna R. Schleuning & Jeanne Schleuning. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Roger, Bob and Ron.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Pearl City where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
