Larry John Coppernoll , 71, of Linden, North Carolina, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. He was born on January 5, 1946, to the late John and Mildred Coppernoll of Stockton, IL. Larry graduated from Stockton High School in 1964. He was a graduate of Bradley University and began his career as a mechanical engineer with The Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in Freeport, IL.

Including a relocation to Fayetteville, NC, Larry's career with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company spanned 38 years. An avid pilot of more than 50 years, Larry was the owner of the Linden Air Service and a member of the Cape Fear Aero Association.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Diana Coppernoll; daughters, Allison McKamey of Greensboro, NC, and Adrienne Turner of Durham, NC; sister, Penny Coppernoll-Blach of San Diego, CA; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton on Monday, October 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Valley Church of God in Mount Carroll.
