Lenore D. Spickler, age 73 of Palatine, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at home. She was born April 16, 1940, the daughter of Carroll and Mildred (Dawe) Spickler. She was a 1958 graduate of Stockton High School and attended business college in Rockford. She retired after working for over forty years for IBM. Lenore attended Kingswood United Methodist Church in Buffalo Grove, IL. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed music including singing and musical theater. She cherished her family and friends and loved getting together with all her family, friends and the many former co-workers that she counted among her friends. Lenore is survived by her sister, Peggy (Thomas) Katsulis of Palatine, IL; brother, Gene (Connie) Spickler of Tyngsboro, MA; nieces, Amy (Joseph) McDonough, Amanda (Kyle) Young, Alyssa Spickler, Elena Katsulis; nephew, Christopher (Heloisa) Katsulis; and great niece and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, IL. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 401 West Dundee Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.
