Obituary

Lola L. Korth, age 90 of Stockton, IL, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Liberty Village in Freeport, IL surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1924 to John and Mary (Kushe) Bonjour. Lola married Raymond Korth on March 23, 1947; he died March 14, 2006.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton where she taught Sunday School for 50 years and attended many circles. Lola taught adult cake decorating, crocheting, and knitting at Highland Community College. Until two month ago, she continued to teach knitting at her home. She enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Jean (Dennis) Broge of Stockton; sons, Dan (Peggy) Korth and Pete (Terry) Korth both of Stockton; grandchildren, Mindy (Eric) Berg, Rachel (Bill) Curnyn, Kyle (Marcie) Korth, Emily Korth, Evan (Meredith) Korth, Aaron Korth, Marah Korth, and Haley Korth; great grandchildren, Carter Korth and Calvin Curnyn; and sisters-in-law, Alta Bonjour and Josie Bonjour.

Lola is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; son, Norman (Cheryl); grandson, Charles Leeseberg; five brothers; and one sister.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established for Tyler's Justice Center for Kids.
