Lona Lynn Friedlein , age 65 of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Walnut Acres in Freeport. Lona was born on March 19, 1954 in Clinton, IA to the late William and Patsy (Blount) Colson. Lona married Gordon Friedlein on June 22, 1974. Gordon passed away on September 23, 2016.

She was a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School. Lona was a very caring and giving person. She enjoyed playing bingo, coloring, and spending time with her family.

Lona is survived by her son, Damon (Aimee) Friedlein of Stockton; her daughter, Angie (Jayson) Adams of Freeport; her brothers, Cory (Shelly) Colson of Holt, FL and Carlton (Pat) Colson of Bettendorf, IA; her sister, Leah (David) Stienmann of Clinton, IA; her grandchildren, Tyler and Linzy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant granddaughter, and brother Howard Colson.

The funeral will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Walker Mortuary in Freeport, IL at 1:00 p.m. There will be a visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
