Mabel L. (Hansen) Holze
of Stockton, Illinois, loving mother of son, Henry (Forreston, Il); daughters, Melody (Marshall) Brown (Florence, AZ), Bonnie (James) Maxwell (Cedarville, Il); daughter-in-law , Lila Holze (Delavan, WI), passed away June 15th at home surrounded by family.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Keith (Toinette ) Brown, Michael (Kristin) Brown, Tomye (Brandon) Erbe, Ken (Sherry) Holze, Benjamin Holze, Hannah Holze, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Other family members include sister, Marjorie (Mearl) Maynard; and sister-in-law Gen Holze.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth Holze, and her son, Kenneth Dale Holze. Her parents and sister Evelyn (Dale) Doty.
Mabel was born November 5th, 1931 in Franklin Grove to John and Lida (Luepkes) Hansen. She married Kenneth Holze on September 03, 1950 at the Plato Center Lutheran Church.
Mabel was a loving, caring, strong, hardworking, fun-loving, and an adventurous woman. She loved being with her family playing cards, telling stories, hunting, dancing, and decorating cakes. In her youth, she also enjoyed singing in the community. She supported Kenny in every aspect of life: farming, auctioning, 4H, and any other adventures that came their way.
Mabel will be remembered for always having an open door and a great meal on the table. Many have called her mom, grandma, and friend. She was always seeing the best in others and helping them in any way she could. She will be missed by all…
A visitation will be held at the Hermann Funeral Home, Stockton, Illinois on Monday, June 20th, 2016 from 4:00pm-6:30pm with a service immediately following.
On Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016 visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home in Hampshire, Il from 11:00am-1:00pm and a service immediately following at 1:00pm with burial at the Hampshire Center Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mabel Holze Family.
