Mark William Melville , age 61, of Pearl City, IL passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at FHN Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1964 in Manchester, IA to the late Ronald and Donna (Keyes) Melville. Mark married Jamie Brinkmeier on August 28, 1993.

Mark was a 1982 graduate of Pearl City High School and went on to attend Highland Community College and Monmouth College where he played baseball at both and was a member of the TKE Fraternity at Monmouth. Mark was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pearl City, Lake Carroll Golf Course and Freeport Club. He was a former member of the Pearl City Fire Department. Mark had worked for Process Screw Products for 37 years. He enjoyed golfing and was proud of his hole in one on hole #13 at Lake Carroll Golf Course. In his younger years, he enjoyed baseball, softball and football. He was very proud to coach his daughters in softball for many years. He had a successful coaching career from 2010-2017, 133 wins and 55 loses, his highlight was going to sectionals and winning the Byron Tournament in 2016. Mark was an avid WI sports fan. Most of all, he loved his daughters and grandchildren, they were his whole world.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie Melville; his daughters, Laura (Caleb) Skoog and Kendra (Wyatt) Gipe; his grandchildren, Knox and Kollins Skoog and baby girl Gipe; his sister, Kris (Rusty) Liebensten; his mother and father-in-law Pam and Steve Brinkmeier and one niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Pearl City at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Please feel free to wear your golf attire. Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City. A memorial fund has been established.
