Marsha L. Cook, age 75, of Shannon, IL passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Freeport. She was born in Savanna, IL on May 8, 1951 to the late Cornelius and Berniece (Rogers) Noordhoff. Marsha married Rick Cook on April 3, 1971 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Shannon.

Marsha was a 1970 graduate of Lanark High School. She had worked at TeeLee Popcorn in Shannon. Marsha enjoyed going to cattle shows, baking, cooking and the NBA, specifically the Golden State Warriors. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Cook; her daughter, Lisa (Tom) Disher; her sons, Jeff (Melissa Foster) Cook and Rick (Melanie Pehl) Cook; her grandchildren, Skyler (Jodie Knight) Barncord, Caden Shurman, Bryce Cook, Aubree Cook, Jane Haak, Olivia Sutherland and Jamie Sutherland; her great grandchild, Brecken; her sisters, Connie (Earl) Meador and Rita Miller; her brothers, John (Deb) Noordhoff and Tom (Denise) Noordhoff; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Linda Brigham and Judy Bronkema.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Hermann Funeral Home in Shannon at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established.
