Mary A. (Raine) Smith, age 54 of Stockton, IL, passed away after a long illness on May 5, 2014 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL. She was born June 11, 1959; the daughter of Roger Raine and Laura Streif. She was a 1977 graduate of Hemstead High School and had served in the United States Army.
Mary had worked at the Microbiology Division for Proctor & Gamble in Iowa City. She enjoyed photography, gardening, nature, and crocheting. She was a loving mother.
She is survived by her mother, Laura of Stockton; father, Roger (Shelia) of Port Richey, FL; daughter, Nichole Smith of North Liberty, IA; son, Jason Smith of Iowa City; grandson, Evan Eiker; sisters, Pat (Jim) Delmastro of Carol Stream, IL and Kim (Terry) Dreyer of Stockton; and brother, William (Jill) Raine of Clive, IA. She is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Raine and her grandparents.
A private service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
