Max A. Marks 88 of Stockton died December, 19, 2013 at the Stockton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. He was born May, 29, 1925 in Stockton the son of the late Rolland & Lela (Westaby) Marks. He married Ruth Buschendorf on April 17, 1954, Max served in the US Army during WWII. He had farmed all of his life and had worked in a sawmill, Savanna Army Depot, Structo Mfg. in Freeport and was a talented mechanic.
He was a member of the Stockton American Legion & VFW. He enjoyed reading, NASCAR fan pulling for the Fords and watching Billy Graham every Sunday. He is survived by his wife Ruth of Stockton, 2-Nephews; Steve Marks of Galena & Nelson Marks of Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parent, , 2- brothers; Dale & Ronald.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton where visitation will be 1 hour before. Burial will be in Ladies Union Cemetery. Memorial fund has been established.
