Sadly on Wednesday Aug 24th, 2022 Mel left this earth.

Mel was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and niece. She was born with a love for all living animals.  She had a special place in her heart for cats and her cat Hercules is a testament to this, who's still going at 18 years of age!  She was a rare person that truly cared about all living things and would help in any way she was able.

Mel is survived by her Mom, Connie; sisters, Tammy and Wendi; brother, Danny; Nephew, Chris and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Melissa grew up in Stockton then moved to pursue radio broadcasting becoming "Mary Jane" on the radio show where she worked at the time.  She loved going backstage meeting the performers, attending concerts and Summerfest.  She chose to live a quiet and modest lifestyle and loved helping all animals which included having a priority of consistently volunteering at animal shelters her whole life.  Melissa had the most amazing large smile that would light up the whole room.  Melissa will be greatly missed by her family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and anyone who had the opportunity to get to know her.

Cremation Funeral Fri 9/9, 2-4pm Hermann Funeral Home, 249 N Park St, Stockton, IL with reception to follow at family's residence.
