Melvin R. Haas , age 80 of Massbach, IL passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at home. He was born in Massbach on February 26, 1930 to the late Henry and Lydia (Zink) Haas.

Melvin was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Massbach and farmed his entire life.

He is survived by his brother, Lawrence (Bonnie) Haas of Mt. Carroll, IL and his sister, Mary Engelke of Lena, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Haas and brother-in-law, Paul Engelke.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Massbach.
