Mildred Mayer, age 87 of Stockton, IL passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Morrison Community Hospital. She was born October 31, 1932 in Lena, IL to the late Albert and Elsie (Pohl) Miller. Mildred married Robert Mayer on February 17, 1950. Robert passed away January 28, 2013.

She was a member of Nora Community Church and had worked at BB Cleaners in 1950. Mildred farmed with her husband from 1959 to 1990 when they moved into town. She had also worked at Kolb's from 1993 to 2004. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, needlepoint, and going to the casino.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Connie Bohnsack of Stockton; her son, Dennis (Jamie) Mayer of Kent; her son-in-law, Eldon (Kathy) Janssen of Monroe; her sisters, Pauline Trost of Lena and Inez Meier of Chadwick; her 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Barb Janssen; her sisters, Lola, Sylvia and Eleanor; and her brothers, Allen and Harlen.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
